dreaminofamerica

Lyrics by Ashley Heinze

Thinking of America in me
Thinking of a home that will be free
Take away the pain that runs in me
Givin’ me the hope I want to see
A Great Land to set us free
And the Hope of what may be
Dreamin’ of America and what you’ve been to
me for all these years Oh come and

Take me home again Oh please your gonna
take me home again Oh Lord your gonna
take me home again Oh Lord to give me
hope and home again Oh Lord

Build us up where we have fallen
take us back to our Forefathers
Get us back to where we belong
dedicate my love, my love, my love of freedom

Feelings of America in me
Hoping for a home that will be free
Take away the pain that runs beneath
Guide me to the light, the love, the faith I need
And with every step
You need my love to be free
Dreamin’ of America and what you've been to
me for all these years Oh come and

Take me home

There are millions of Americans who awakened on November 9th with feelings of joy and the prospect of a new and hopeful future. And there are millions of Americans who awakened that very same morning with feelings of shock, despair and fear.

Whether you are in the first group or the second, one fact remains the same. Our diversity is what has made America Great. That ‘melting pot’ of ideas, values and traditions. No other country in the world provides its people with the freedom and possibilities the United States offers. Anything is possible in America.

So let’s not forget where we came from and the sacrifices made while building this great nation. Together, we will always need to fight for our beliefs and strive to be better.

The two groups want to make things better. They have different paths and ideas on how to achieve a greater America. Sometimes those paths will cross and sometimes there will be a great divide.

No matter which path you choose to achieve that better life,
remember to dream, to have hope, and to remain positive for our future.
